STSI has achieved the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® for Development, Maturity Level 3, satisfying the new Version 1.3 evaluation requirements. CMMI® is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a “defined” level of Capability Improvement Framework. At this level, processes are well documented, characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. By receiving CMMI Level 3, STSI reaffirms its commitment to process discipline which translates to excellent delivery of service to STSI clients. STSI Awarded New Task Order under NRC Modernization Contract

STSI was awarded multiple task orders to assist the NRC Office of the Chief Financial Officer.  The NRC faces a challenge of maintaining consistent budget and labor data, which can complicate budget development and management decision making.  STSI will help NRC to restructure their tools and process for labor data and related software through the requirements development and high-level design recommendation phases of the Task Assignment Control (TAC) Legacy System Replacement (LSR) project.  In addition STSI will work to identify a cost-effective business intelligence solution for the Centralized Labor Reporting (CLR) Project. Baseball Outing at Nationals Park

STSI employees and their families attended our quarterly team building outing at Nationals Park to watch the Nat’s take on the Baltimore Orioles. There was a rain delay, but the party suites provided adequate shelter. The rain even resulted in a rainbow over left field. Once the game got started, it went well, with the Nationals winning 8-4.
