STSI has achieved the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® for Development, Maturity Level 3, satisfying the new Version 1.3 evaluation requirements. CMMI® is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.
An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a “defined” level of Capability Improvement Framework. At this level, processes are well documented, characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods.
By receiving CMMI Level 3, STSI reaffirms its commitment to process discipline which translates to excellent delivery of service to STSI clients.
The CMMI model, developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Carnegie Mellon University of Pittsburg, PA, is an improved, expanded model based on the previous CMM models.
